PCOS Supplement Essentials Protocol

Hello and Welcome! I have created a simple PCOS supplement protocol with only four essential products! The goal is to provide you with complete nutrient support, anti-inflammatory benefit, blood sugar and insulin regulation support, and stress resiliency. The great thing about this protocol is that these products work together to benefit you in all the areas I mentioned above. Below is the science and rationale behind why I chose these products and how they can help you: 1) Optimal Prenatal : This product contains the daily requirements for nearly all vitamins and minerals, unlike a generic One A Day which only supplies you with low amounts of vitamins. This product contains bioactive folate and other B vitamins in substantial amounts which can help you have more energy to get through the day. In addition, it contains nearly all your mineral requirements, and many women with PCOS have deficiencies in these areas. This product supplies a generous amount of vitamin D at 4000 IU. Vitamin D helps regulate insulin and glucose metabolism, make estrogen and progesterone, improve egg quality, and augment mood and energy. Research shows that up to 85% of women with PCOS have low levels of vitamin D (<20 ng/ml). This product contains 300 mg of magnesium. Research shows that women with PCOS have lower magnesium intake and lower serum magnesium than women without PCOS. This dose is effective for improving anxiety and depression, reducing PMS and insomnia, regulating bowel movements, reducing inflammation and fatigue. This product also contains choline and iodine, 2 essential fertility and pregnancy nutrients that many prenatal supplements are missing. Lastly, I love the addition of red raspberry leaf, ginger, milk thistle extract, and coenzyme Q10 for antioxidant support and to protect your egg cells from the effects of aging. 2) Adrenal Cocktail Powder contains vital minerals sodium and potassium and vitamin C. These nutrients get depleted during times of stress. They are very nourishing to your adrenals and help you to withstand the demands of a fast-paced, modern lifestyle. Stress worsens androgen production, so being able to withstand cellular stress may help to manage PCOS. 3) ProOmega CRP is a fish oil "on steroids." It contains omega 3 fats which have been shown to reduce androgens and inflammation and improve fertility, insulin sensitivity, and mood. Curcumin, NAC, and glutathione provide additional antioxidant support which is helpful for women with PCOS because they tend to have higher amounts of oxidative stress which worsens insulin resistance and androgen excess. 4) Myo-inositol reduces testosterone and fasting insulin, improves insulin resistance, improves ovulation and menstrual cycle regularity. At just $0.135 per gram, this is one of the most economical inositol products I could find. I hope you find this protocol of PCOS Essentials to be straightforward and effective. The purpose is to help reduce overwhelm of many product options. Plus, this gives you exclusive access to high-quality product brands that are only available through practitioners. These products are third-party tested for safety and quality. Please note that this is NOT a personalized recommendation but rather, guidance based on my expert knowledge of PCOS. Be sure to discuss with your healthcare team! Be Well, Stephanie Paver, MS, RD Your Fertility with PCOS Dietitian
Fertility Supplement Essentials

Hello! I have created a simple fertility supplement protocol for you backed by science. These products support fertility by reducing inflammation, improving insulin sensitivity, and optimizing egg cell function. 1) N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC): NAC is needed to make glutathione, the body's master antioxidant. Glutathione reduces inflammation, improves insulin receptor function, improves egg quality and ovulation, and supports mitochondrial function. Studies in IVF show that egg cells with higher levels of glutathione make healthier embryos. 2) Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA): ALA improves insulin sensitivity, reduces oxidative stress and inflammation, and increases the activity of glutathione (the strongest antioxidant in the body!). ALA works via an anti-inflammatory action and improves mitochondrial function. 3) QH-Absorb 100mg (CoQ10): CoQ10 is an antioxidant; it protects egg cells from oxidative stress, and it supports the powerhouse of the cell (the mitochondria ). Egg cells contain the highest number of mitochondria of all cells in the human body! Studies show that CoQ10 helps improve outcomes in women undergoing IVF. 4) Biomega 1000 : Omega 3 fats improve female fertility. In addition, they help with fetal skin, brain, and eyes development. Low blood levels of the omega 3 fat DHA are associated with risk for preterm birth. Please note that this is NOT a personalized recommendation but rather guidance based on my expert knowledge of Fertility and PCOS. Be sure to discuss with your healthcare team! You will need to modify your supplement list once you get pregnant. xx, Stephanie
