This protocol is a generalized summary of some of the nutritional interventions that can be used to help boost your immune system during the different phases of COVID-19 (prevention, acute infection, post-infectious inflammation). Please refer to the descriptions below each product for more details on the use and purpose of each nutritional. This is for educational purposes only. Any specific recommendations should be discussed with your personal health care provider. Tier 1 supplements are the most important nutritionals used for prevention and are the basis for any Post COVID or prevention protocols. Tier 2 are the second most important typically helping during the acute phase of illness and should be added, if possible, to the Tier I recommendations. Tier 3 are the 3rd most important supplements and are focused on the post-viral inflammatory phase and most likely only used for those with Long COVID. All tiers should be discussed with your personal health care professional prior to implementation. The top four supplements would be Vitamin D, NAC, Vitamin C and B complex.
