"Why it is here: Conditional support: a multi-herb formula for a defined target, particularly joint inflammation or pain. Begin one product from this protocol at a time, not several. How to take: Start with one capsule daily with food. May increase to 2 capsules a day if needed, as the label indicates. Published evidence: Published human evidence for treating systemic inflammation is limited. Clinical experience (observation): I have found Zyflamend helpful for many patients, particularly for joint inflammation and pain. Caution: Before you begin, review the complete ingredient list, your medical conditions, medicines, other supplements, and planned procedures with a qualified clinician. Zyflamend contains turmeric: do not pair it with CurcumaSorb unless your clinician directs it. Do not exceed 2 capsules a day. The label also says to avoid it if you are sensitive to caffeine, and not to use it if pregnant, nursing, or considering pregnancy. Stop if side effects occur. Review: Track the specific symptom or functional goal, tolerance, and whether a meaningful benefit appears during the trial period."

"Why it is here: Targeted support: EPA and DHA plus pro-resolving mediators (SPMs). Begin one product from this protocol at a time, not several. How to take: One softgel daily with the largest meal. May increase to 1 twice per day under provider guidance if needed. Published evidence: Human studies show that SPM-enriched marine oils can raise circulating pro-resolving mediators and influence immune-cell behavior. These are laboratory measures; outcome evidence in people is still early. Clinical experience (observation): In my practice, some patients have responded to this product when standard fish oil alone did not produce the result we were seeking for the same problem. That is clinical observation, not a claim that it has stronger published evidence than standard EPA and DHA. Caution: Each softgel supplies 425 mg of EPA + DHA and 300 mcg of SPMs; contains fish. Add no second omega-3 product. Ask your clinician first if you take anticoagulants, have a rhythm disorder, or have surgery ahead. Higher doses can increase bleeding tendency and, in some populations, atrial-fibrillation risk. Review: EPA + DHA intake, bruising, bleeding, rhythm symptoms, continued need."

"Why it is here: Deficiency-directed support: to correct a documented vitamin D deficiency. It is not for everyone who opens this protocol. Begin one product from this protocol at a time, not several. How to take: With food, as the label directs. Test the vitamin D level and treat a known deficiency; dosage varies depending on individual status. Published evidence: Randomized trials support correcting a documented deficiency for bone and muscle outcomes. Trials of high-dose supplementation in people who are not deficient have not shown broad prevention of chronic disease. Caution: Each capsule supplies 1,000 IU (25 mcg), and this entry is 1 capsule a day. The amount needed to correct a deficiency varies: review the dose and follow-up plan with a clinician. Avoid treating every inflammatory symptom as vitamin D deficiency, and avoid unmonitored megadoses. Do not duplicate vitamin D you already take elsewhere. The label allows up to 5 capsules a day; this protocol does not. Review: Vitamin D status, dosage, tolerance, and whether continued supplementation remains necessary. Deficiency-directed support stops when the deficiency is corrected."

"Why it is here: Conditional support: a bioavailable curcumin (Meriva) as an adjunct for a defined inflammatory target, when a clinician determines it is reasonable. It is not universally recommended for everyone. Begin one product from this protocol at a time, not several. How to take: Between meals, with water, as the label directs. The guide gives no amount or timing for curcumin. Published evidence: Small human trials of enhanced-absorption formulations report modest reductions in CRP and selected cytokines. Trials are short, formulations differ, and outcome evidence beyond markers is limited. Caution: Two capsules supply 500 mg of Meriva turmeric phytosome. Curcumin may interact with anticoagulants, affect the gallbladder, worsen reflux or stomach upset, and interfere with some medicines. Zyflamend also contains turmeric: do not pair the two unless your clinician directs it. The label allows up to 6 capsules a day; this protocol does not. Review: Track the target symptom or marker, gastrointestinal tolerance, medication interactions, and whether the benefit is meaningful enough to continue."
