Mycoplasma Support Plan This plan is a companion to my educational post, Mycoplasma in PANS/PANDAS: The Stealth Coinfection . It is not a protocol meant to be followed from A to Z. It is simply a curated list of the specific products I discussed in the post, gathered here in one place for easy reference. Think of it as a menu, not a plan of action. Which of these tools, if any, belong in your child's care depends entirely on their individual clinical picture, and that decision should always be guided by a knowledgeable practitioner who understands your child's full situation. Please introduce anything new slowly and in partnership with your provider. Core herbal support Myc-P™ (Researched Nutritionals) - already covers Isatis, Cordyceps, Houttuynia, Chinese Skullcap, Cat's Claw, and Sida acuta in one combination formula If you want individual herbal formulations, my top recommendation is to source it from Elk Mountain Herbs . Use coupon " newcc444 " to receive 10% off your first order. My clients receive an additional discount, so feel free to reach out at lena+fullscript@detoxguide.org Herbal additions not in Myc-P™ (the remaining Buhner items you may still want to offer individually) NAC / Augmented NAC (ANAC ) - use coupon detoxguide to recieve 10% off Vitamin E Olive leaf Schisandra / Eleuthero / Rhodiola (adaptogen/mitochondrial support) Chlorella/Spirulina - use coupon DETOXGUIDE · 20% off Broad-spectrum option Biocidin Foundational / sensitive-and-autoimmune child Vitamin D Omega-3 Curcumin: MCS Curcumin C3 Pro Liposomal - Use code detoxguide5 to receive 5% off

When using Magnesium, it is important to add several different types and rotate them regularly. Most of us are depleted in Magnesium, especially PANS/PANDAS kids. Liquid Ionic Magnesium Chloride - very salty, add small amounts to drinks Liquid Magnesium Chloride (Magnesium 'oil') - transdermal: great for a foot bath, diluted with warm filtered water or as a topical spray Magnesium Malate (best to be taken am for energy, muscle function, helps detox aluminum) Magnesium Sulphate Epsom Salts foot baths in spring or distilled water are recommended over full body baths unless you have a whole house water filter. We are often soaking in fluoride, pharmaceuticals, aluminum, and more. Magnesium Taurate - g entle, heart- and mood-supportive, low risk of GI upset. Magnesium Threonate - great for brain, crosses blood brain barrier, but not much body support Limit Magnesium Glycinate *If* there are B Vitamins issues. It converts quickly to oxalate causing more B vitamin depletion. Magnesium glycinate itself does not directly convert to oxalate. However, glycine (from glycinate) can be metabolized into oxalate under certain conditions, particularly if there are issues with oxidative stress, B6 deficiency, or inefficient glycine metabolism. This conversion is not necessarily rapid or excessive unless there are predisposing metabolic factors, such as a high-oxalate diet, poor liver function, or genetic variations affecting glycine breakdown. For most people, however, this form of magnesium is well-tolerated and even beneficial for relaxation and sleep. AVOID Magnesium Citrate because it is derived from corn. Often, it is broken down enough so they can call it 'corn free'. But most importantly, citrates open up the bowel (that's why it is a strong laxative), but it is not good for leaky gut. NEVER use Magnesium oxide due to Inefficient Absorption, Laxative Effect vs. Nutrient Absorption, resulting in no cellular replenishment, and Poor Quality & Purity Concerns. Magnesium Hydroxide : not the same as magnesium oxide, but related.Acts mainly as an osmotic laxative in the gut; not intended for replenishing cellular magnesium, absorption is very low. For occasional use for constipation is OK. Below are some specific brands I recommendations that you can find on Fullscript.

There recommendations are compiled to go along with my Akkermansia FB post - Truly live Akkermansia muciniphila without added prebiotics is still relatively limited in the U.S. market. It is an anaerobic mucin-degrading organism and technically challenging to stabilize in a live form. Most products fall into two categories: Pasteurized / heat-treated (postbiotic) Akkermansia Live Akkermansia combined with prebiotics to help survival and colonization The following two products I want you take a look at - Akkermansia Postbiotic This is a pasteurized (non-live) Akkermansia product. Mechanistically, this is still very relevant because much of the literature shows that pasteurized Akkermansia retains metabolic and immune-modulating benefits. In some metabolic studies, pasteurized forms actually performed as well or better than live strains. So while it is technically a postbiotic, it is not “inferior” from a functional standpoint, especially in sensitive P/P kids where aggressive prebiotic fibers can flare symptoms. Metabolic Daily Pro It’s a multi-strain consortium, not a single Akkermansia isolate. It does contain live Akkermansia muciniphila (WB-STR-0001 strain) and it does not include added prebiotics like inulin. Conceptually, Metabolic Daily Pro is the closest in composition to NutriDyn UltraBiotic Akkermansia Plus product. The biggest difference is that NutriDyn uses mostly pasteurized Akkermansia (80% heat-treated), whereas Pendulum uses fully live strains and different Bifidobacterium species. Pendulum Akkermansia - is one of the few live forms but it contains chicory inulin. * All three recommendations can be opened and mixed into cool/soft food for those avoiding swallowing capsules, if consumed immediately - based on product details and standard probiotic handling (no enteric coatings or manufacturer warnings noted). Most stable if opened -> Postbiotic version Possible but less ideal -> Live Pendulum products (open and consume immediately to minimize oxygen exposure) Suggestions on how to increase endogenous Akkermansia: • Polyphenols (pomegranate, cranberry, green tea, berberine) • Intermittent fasting (adults) • Mild caloric cycling • Butyrate support • Bifidobacteria restoration • Reishi mushrooms (best source is MCS Formulas - you can use code detoxguide5 for 5% off or find other good options here on Fullscript)
