Helps coat the stomach and kill H. pylori . Avoid drinking anything for 20–30 minutes after to maximize contact time. ***Always avoid taking Pepto Bismol tablets at least 60 minutes before a meal, or 2 hours after a meal, to avoid its stomach acid inhibitory affect while trying to digest food. Energetix Core Berberine Blend – 1-2 mL in water Taken 15-30 min after Pepto-Bismol , but at least 30 min before eating . Berberine is antibacterial and anti-biofilm , synergizing with bismuth. Afternoon (First Meal – After Noon) Klaire Labs/SFI Health Mastic Gum + DGL Chewable – 1-3 tablets before eating Mastic gum directly damages H. pylori and helps heal stomach ulcers. DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice) enhances mucus production , protecting the stomach lining. ***Chew thoroughly, like chewing gum, allowing saliva to entirely dissolve the tablets as they are chewed. This allows the suplement to melt and coat the stomach more efficiently. Do NOT swallow tablets, neither partially chewed nor whole, for best effect. Meal with Probiotic Support: (optional) Raw Organic Cranberry Juice (2-4 oz (try not to dilute in water)) – Disrupts H. pylori adhesion. Use 100% organic, unsweetened cranberry juice (not from concentrate). If using a concentrated liquid extract , dilute per label instructions. Evening (Before Dinner) Repeat: Mastic Gum/DGL Chewable – 1-3 tablets before dinner Repeat: Pepto-Bismol – 1-2 tablets, 30-60 min before eating Repeat: Energetix Core Berberine Blend – 1-2 mL in water, 15-30 min before food Before Bed (Final H. pylori Attack & Healing) Apple Cider Vinegar + Minced Raw Ginger Shot Mix 1 tbsp ACV + 1 tsp minced raw ginger in a shot glass with a small amount of water . ACV acidifies the stomach , making it less hospitable for H. pylori . Ginger has potent antibacterial effects against H. pylori . Take this at least 60 min after Pepto-Bismol, to avoid interaction. Best to take this about 1 hour before bed time, being sure not to consume any more food for the day after taken. Microbiome Labs PyloGuard – 1 capsule Contains Lactobacillus reuteri DSM17648 , which binds to H. pylori and helps remove it from the stomach. Take right before bed, as you are laying down, so it can work undisturbed overnight. Consider breaking the capsule open by pulling apar the two capsule halves, then mixing into 3-4 ounces of cold water and drinking quickly. Cold water keeps the mixture int he stomach bag longer. probiotic powder in water (not capsule) ensures its effect is being made from mouth all the way down into the stomach, and beyond. This eliminates the risk of the stomach not having enough acid to break down the capsule and release its contents before going into the small intestine. Additional Notes & Adjustments ✔ Fasting Until Noon: This may help by giving the stomach time to cleanse itself . Pepto-Bismol and berberine can still be taken on an empty stomach in the morning . ✔ Raw Cranberry Juice – Concentrated or Not? A concentrated extract may be more effective for disrupting H. pylori adhesion. However, unsweetened raw juice (2-4 oz) still works well if taken consistently. ✔ Duration of Protocol Follow for 4-6 weeks for full eradication After 6 weeks, switch to a maintenance phase with probiotics and gut-healing foods. ☆ ☆ ☆ Pepto Bismol, and other supplements listed above may induce or worsen constipation. To avoid potential detox flu as H. pylori dies, consider aiding your bowel movement frequency to 2-4 bowel movements daily, or one large movement daily. I frequently recommend daily enemas (as necessary) for the duration of the 4-6 weeks, even if only using 30ml of water to soften stool. A good tool for this application can be a plastic syringe of your preferred size, sometimes also attaching 6 inches of tubing to the end for ease of use. Warning: Those with liver or kidney concerns should consult their preferred health practitioner prior to undertaking this protocol. Excess bismuth can harm kidneys. Excess berberine can harm liver, and is a CYP3A4 inhibitor, affecting drug metabolism, and it should not be taken with other drugs.
