Oura Ring

Oura Ring: Wellness Insights Between Visits At Legacy Wellness, we believe that true health is built through consistent daily choices, not just what happens during an appointment. The Oura Ring provides a simple, comfortable way to track important wellness markers such as sleep quality, recovery, heart rate variability (HRV), activity levels, body temperature trends, and more. When connected to your Practice Better portal, Oura data can help provide a clearer picture of how your body is responding to nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplements, stress management, and other wellness interventions. This objective information allows for more personalized recommendations and can help identify patterns that may not be apparent through symptoms alone. Think of Oura as a window into your body's daily rhythms, helping you better understand, support, and optimize your wellness journey. Castor Oil Pack Supplies

Castor oil packs have been used for centuries for their potential health benefits. Here are some of the reported benefits and instructions on how to use a castor oil pack: Health Benefits of Castor Oil Packs: 1. Liver Detoxification: Castor oil packs are believed to stimulate the liver, promoting detoxification processes. This may help eliminate toxins from the body. 2. Improving Digestion: The packs are thought to support the digestive system by reducing inflammation and promoting regular bowel movements. 3. Reducing Inflammation: Castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties and applying it topically through a pack may help reduce inflammation in the targeted area. 4. Pain Relief: Some individuals use castor oil packs to alleviate pain and discomfort associated with conditions such as arthritis or muscle soreness. 5. Boosting Immune System: The packs may help enhance the lymphatic system's function, supporting immune system health. How to Use a Castor Oil Pack: Materials: - Castor oil - Flannel cloth (large enough to cover the area you want to treat) - Plastic wrap or a plastic bag - Hot water bottle or heating pad Instructions: 1. Prepare the Area: Choose a quiet and comfortable place to lie down. Protect the surface with an old towel or cloth. 2. Fold the Flannel: Fold the flannel cloth into several layers to make a thick, but not too bulky, pad. 3. Soak in Castor Oil: Pour a sufficient amount of castor oil onto the flannel, making sure it is saturated but not dripping. 4. Place on the Body: Lay down and place the castor oil-soaked flannel directly onto the skin over the targeted area. For example, it could be the abdomen for digestive benefits or a joint for pain relief. 5. Cover with Plastic: Cover the flannel with plastic wrap or a plastic bag. This helps to keep the castor oil from staining your clothes and bedding. 6. Apply Heat: Place a hot water bottle or heating pad over the plastic-covered flannel. The heat helps the castor oil penetrate the skin. 7. Relax: Lie down and relax for at least 30 minutes to an hour. You can use this time to meditate or practice deep breathing. 8. Cleanse: After removing the pack, cleanse the area with a solution of water and baking soda to remove any residual oil. Frequency: Use the castor oil pack 3-4 times a week for several weeks or as recommended by a healthcare professional. Note: - Consult with a healthcare provider before using castor oil packs, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have underlying health conditions. - Avoid using castor oil packs during menstruation or if you have open wounds or infections.
