Initially trained as an acupuncturist and herbalist, I leapt headlong into the functional medicine world in 2018 after realizing how unhelpful, even harmful, most of today's conventional medicine approaches are. Where was the enlightened prevention? Where, the "systems" thinking? There had to be— and thankfully is— a better way.
