The Mirror · Baseline Nutrient Support

2 more items in The Mirror · Baseline Nutrient SupportIf your pattern is the Mirror, bloodwork is often unremarkable, and the shortfalls that do appear are usually in women who eat last. The primary work here is behavioural — practising a preference, and protecting recovery that cannot be negotiated away. These support the baseline underneath it. These recommendations are educational and are not a substitute for individual medical care. Using this dispensary does not create a practitioner–patient relationship. Product selection, dose and suitability require individual assessment. Do not begin any supplement without reviewing it with your prescriber if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, or taking prescription medication. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
The Drift · Nutrient Repletion and Daytime Capacity

2 more items in The Drift · Nutrient Repletion and Daytime CapacityIf your pattern is the Drift, please complete the bloodwork discussed in your chapter before beginning, and ideally let me review it. This pattern overlaps with several conditions that are very treatable once identified, and correcting a confirmed deficiency will do more than anything else on this list. Rhodiola is morning-only — later in the day it tends to disturb sleep. These recommendations are educational and are not a substitute for individual medical care. The Runner · Circadian Timing and Sleep

2 more items in The Runner · Circadian Timing and SleepIf your pattern is the Runner, this is a timing problem before it is a chemistry problem. Morning light and one fixed wake time do most of the work; these support the transition. The melatonin here is a clock signal rather than a sleeping aid — take it early, and note that a larger dose is not a better one. These recommendations are educational and are not a substitute for individual medical care. Using this dispensary does not create a practitioner–patient relationship. The Warrior · Downshifting and Sleep Onset

3 more items in The Warrior · Downshifting and Sleep OnsetIf your pattern is the Warrior, your system has not been given a clear signal that demand has ended. These support evening settling and sleep onset, and cover the nutrient needs of a body running at sustained output. Start with the first two only and add the rest after three weeks if you want them. The behavioural work in your chapter comes first — nothing here replaces it. These recommendations are educational and are not a substitute for individual medical care. Nervous System Restoration

2 more items in Nervous System RestorationThe nervous system is not a problem to be sedated. It is a system that has been asking for something and not getting it. Western herbalism has a category pharmacology doesn't: nervine trophorestoratives, herbs that feed and rebuild nerve tissue over months rather than blunting a signal tonight. Milky oat seed is the archetype. It does almost nothing in the first week and a great deal by the eighth. That is the point, and it is why it belongs at the base of this protocol rather than the top. Skullcap and passionflower work faster, for the mind that will not stop circling at 2am. Lemon balm is the gentlest of the group and the one most people underestimate. Ashwagandha sits underneath all of it as a root-level adaptogen, restoring the capacity to respond rather than forcing calm. Sleep, light, breath, food and the pace of a day do the actual regulating. These plants lower the resistance so that work can land. Nothing here substitutes for changing what is asking too much of you. Ashwagandha is thyroid-active and not appropriate in pregnancy or autoimmune thyroid disease without supervision. Passionflower and skullcap can compound sedatives. Educational information only. This is not medical advice and does not establish a patient relationship. HOW TO USE THESE Milky oat seed (Avena sativa, Wise Woman Herbals) — 30 to 60 drops in a little water, two or three times daily. Give it six to eight weeks before you judge it. Safe long term. Skullcap (Herb Pharm) — 30 to 40 drops in water as needed, up to three times daily and again at bedtime. Works within the hour. This is the acute partner to the oat seed's slow rebuild. Passionflower (Herb Pharm) — 30 to 40 drops thirty minutes before bed. For the 3am wake-up and the body that is tired while the mind is not. As needed rather than nightly. Lemon balm (Herb Pharm) — 30 to 40 drops in warm water in the late afternoon, when the day starts to feel like too much. Also a carminative: it settles the stomach that knots under stress. Ashwagandha (Gaia Herbs, whole root) — one or two capsules daily. Morning if daytime activation is the problem, evening if the nights are. Give it four to six weeks.
Energy

2 more items in Energy"Normal" on a lab report means you fall inside a range built from a population that includes a lot of tired people. Before adding anything, get the numbers: ferritin (not just hemoglobin), a full thyroid panel including free T3 and antibodies, B12 with methylmalonic acid, and vitamin D. Ferritin under 30 causes fatigue with a perfectly normal CBC, and it is missed constantly in menstruating women. Do not take iron without testing first. Excess iron is genuinely harmful, and the symptoms of too much resemble the symptoms of too little. When iron is indicated, every-other-day dosing absorbs better than daily. Educational information only. This is not medical advice and does not establish a patient relationship. Test before starting iron, and talk with your own clinician before starting anything new.
Foundations

Four supplements with the deepest evidence base and the widest margin of safety. Most people are short on all four. Vitamin D is dosed to a target, not a guess: test 25(OH)D and aim for 40-60 ng/mL. Omega-3s are listed here in EPA/DHA, not fish oil weight, because the front of the label is usually more optimistic than the back. Magnesium glycinate is the form that doesn't send you to the bathroom. Creatine is not only for athletes; the cognitive and muscle-preservation data in women is strong and still underused. Educational information only. This is not medical advice and does not establish a patient relationship. Talk with your own clinician before starting anything new.
