Dr. Starsiak's Pelvic Floor & Women's Vitality Protocol

3 more items in Dr. Starsiak's Pelvic Floor & Women's Vitality ProtocolSupport for pelvic floor strength and women's tissue health, pairing with Emsella and shockwave treatment: pumpkin seed extract (studied for urinary frequency and stress incontinence), magnesium glycinate for muscle relaxation and sleep, vitamin D (lichen-derived) for pelvic muscle function, shatavari as the classical female tonic, gokshura (Tribulus) with human data in female sexual function, and sea buckthorn oil for mucosal and vaginal dryness support (about 3 g daily). Cautions worth knowing: shatavari and tribulus carry hormonal activity — discuss first with any hormone-sensitive condition, and skip both in pregnancy; new or worsening incontinence, postmenopausal bleeding, or persistent dryness deserves an exam, not just a supplement. Full context: drstarsiak.com/emsella-pelvic-floor-treatment and the women's health guide.

11 more items in Brain & Memory Support — ComprehensiveREAD THIS FIRST. The lifestyle foundation is the highest-value part of this program, and it outperforms everything below: ~150 min/week aerobic activity, resistance training 2-3x/week, daily balance work, protected sleep, a MIND-style diet with lunch as the largest meal, hearing correction, blood-pressure control, and daily meaningful connection. Supplements are second. Build the foundation first. This program supports quality of life, function, and attachment. It does not claim to reverse, cure, or stop Alzheimer's - and no one should promise you it will. Coordinate with the treating physician/neurologist before starting, and bring this list to the next appointment. HOW TO START: Introduce one new item at a time, a week or two apart, so benefit or side-effects can be attributed. Baseline labs before building: vitamin D, ferritin, metabolic panel, lipids, plus homocysteine if using B vitamins. THE BLEEDING STACK: omega-3, curcumin, vitamin E, reishi and - conservatively - ginkgo each nudge bleeding risk and add up. This matters most if he is on aspirin or an anticoagulant, or before any planned procedure. Hold ginkgo ~2 weeks before procedures. Keep omega-3 modest. If using Souvenaid, do NOT stack full separate doses of omega-3 and B-complex on top - Souvenaid already contains both plus vitamin E; have the physician reconcile the totals. MEDICATION RECONCILIATION FIRST: have the physician/pharmacist review the full list for anticholinergic burden and sedation, which worsen cognition and fall risk. Flag anticholinergics, benzodiazepines, Z-drugs, sedating antihistamines, bladder antimuscarinics, anticoagulants, antiplatelets, NSAIDs, and antihypertensives. DELIBERATELY NOT IN THIS PROTOCOL: Vitamin E 2000 IU is a physician/neurologist-level decision - the TEAM-AD benefit applies mainly to alpha-tocopherol added to background cholinesterase-inhibitor therapy in mild-to-moderate AD, and it did NOT show significant benefit in memantine-containing arms. Transdermal nicotine is a supervised trial, not a shelf item, and the 2-year MIND study found it did not slow memory loss overall. Semax and the serotonergic agents (psilocybin, DMT) are not home supplements. All of these belong in a conversation, not a cart. NOT AVAILABLE HERE: Shankhapushpi (Convolvulus prostratus) is not in the Fullscript catalog - it is on my Amazon list (Banyan Botanicals). It reduces phenytoin levels and has antithyroid activity: check TSH and use caution with antiepileptics or levothyroxine.

Support for desire, arousal, and satisfaction — built on herbs with real clinical study behind them. Saffron, at the 30mg daily dose used in research, supports mood and healthy sexual function in women, including arousal and orgasm. Shatavari is Ayurveda's premier women's tonic; its gentle phytoestrogen activity supports arousal, comfort, natural lubrication, and a calmer nervous system. Shilajit supports steady energy and hormonal vitality. Nicotinamide riboside (NiaCel) raises NAD+ for cellular energy. All products are vegetarian. Take with food; give it 8-12 weeks of daily consistency for the full effect. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a hormone-sensitive condition, or take antidepressants or other prescriptions, check with us first. Low libido has many roots — hormones, sleep, stress, relationships, medications — and we're happy to look deeper with you.

2 more items in Dr. Starsiak's Men's Sexual Health ProtocolSupport for testosterone, drive, and performance from several angles at once. Ashwagandha supports healthy testosterone, strength gains with training, and recovery — partly by deepening sleep and blunting the stress response that works against male hormones. Gokshura (Tribulus), the classic Ayurvedic aphrodisiac, supports healthy libido. Shilajit supports the testes' own testosterone production and cellular energy. Selenium is a key mineral for male hormone and sperm health. Nicotinamide riboside (NiaCel) raises NAD+, the energy currency underneath all of it. Best taken with food; give the botanicals 8-12 weeks of consistency before judging results. If you take thyroid, blood pressure, blood sugar, or psychiatric medications, check with us first. This supports normal male physiology — it is not a substitute for evaluating low testosterone, and we offer lab testing if you want numbers first.

Rebuilding digestion from the ground up. Suggested use (I'll fine-tune this with you at your visit): Triphala - 2 tablets before bed to support regularity and gentle daily detoxification. Digestive Enzymes Ultra - 1 capsule with each meal while we rebuild digestive fire. Ther-Biotic Complete - 1 capsule daily with food to reseed the microbiome. Give this 4 to 6 weeks alongside the fundamentals: eat warm cooked food, largest meal at midday, minimal snacking, and stop eating 3 hours before bed. If you are pregnant, nursing, immunocompromised, or on medications, check with me before starting. - Dr. Starsiak
