David Sinclair's Personal Daily Regimen

The famed Harvard longevity scientist has been coy about revealing the details of exactly what he personally takes everyday to stay looking and feeling young. Though he still does not give up the exact brand names of the supplements he takes, he recently gave a detailed report of exactly what he takes, how much, and when. "Just find the highest quality brands with high standards for purity," he said. Well, here you go: *NOTE: Sinclair also takes 1 gram of Metformin daily as well as Rapamycin and Spermidine*

MTHFR

11 more items in MTHFRMTHFR gene variant is a Single Nucleotide Polymorphism in which one or both copies of the gene are in the wrong position. MTHFR itself is critical for creating enzymes to break down homocysteine; MTHFR gene variants are problematic. You can have either one or two variants, or none, on the MTHFR gene. A variant is a part of a gene’s DNA that’s commonly different, or varies, from person to person. Having one variant (heterozygous) is less likely to contribute to health issues. Some people believe having two mutations (homozygous) may lead to more problems. Specific variants are: C677T: About 30 percent are heterozygous and 40 percent of the American population are homozygous. A1298C: About 46.7 percent are heterozygous for this variant, 14.2 percent are homozygous. The most common issues that arise from MTHFR variants are anxiety, depression, migraines, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain. More serious issues include bipolar disorder, s chizophrenia, colon cancer, acute leukemia, Alzheimer’s disease recurrent miscarriages in women of child-bearing age, pregnancies with neural tube defects, and cardiovascular events. The MTHFR gene provides instructions for your body to process folic acid into the active form of folate in order to make DNA. The methylation process helps to regulate metabolic function, detoxification, brain function, digestion, hormonal balance, and energy production and is extremely important for our health and longevity. While mainstream medicine has been slow to recognize the immense importance of proper methylation, studies show that supplementing with certain B vitamins, as well as magnesium, phosphitiylcholine, and polyphenols can bolster the methylation process. The key is to START LOW GO SLOW as supplements like l-methylfolate (5-MTHF) can cause dysphoria, and overall malaise. The supplements in the protocol are all recommended for proper methylation for those who have identified an MTHFR variant. Dosages are low, but it may be advisable to start these in even lower doses. Aside from supplementation the following are critical factors that support methylation: Regular Exercise An Anti-Inflammatory Diet Get 7-9 Hours of Sleep Support Detoxification with Sweating and Hydration Take Probiotics
